On 18 May 2022, the Global Challenges Forum Foundation (GCF) India was successfully launched in New Delhi at the Constitution Club of India, in an event co-organized by the GCF and Maadhiam International Council for Conflict Resolution. Dr Walter Christman, GGF Chairman and Founding Director, and Dr Beatrice Bressan, GCF CEO, together with GCF India Co-Chairs, Dr. John Samuel and Dr Sanaya Nariman, and other distinguished guests, presented the Youth Leadership Lecture Series on topics such as Mediation, Peace, Justice, and Good Governance.

The launch was followed, on 19 May, by the Youth and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) Conference at the Delhi SRM University (acknowledged for STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math programmes), where Dr. Christman and Dr. Bressan, together with the University Vice Chancellor and the Edumate TV CEO, delivered presentations focused on the role of youth within the SDGs in front of over 300 young students.

The launch activities were concluded with discussions about future possibilities to foster, among other, UN SDGs’ advocacy through the Global Resilience Consortium (GRC) and the future realization of the online Global Resilience University.
