The Global Challenges Forum Foundation has established a partnership with The Earth Foundation. Through its Life in Abundance (LiA) Initiative in Jordan and the Middle East Region, the GCF will support The Earth Foundation’s project, The Earth Prize, a $200,000 environmental sustainability competition for secondary school students around the world that will reward the projects that have the most potential to solve environmental issues. The Global Challenges Initiative

The Global Challenges Initiative (GCI) was officially launched on November 16th, 2010, with three days of intense discussions and planning by global experts. Calling upon leading organizations in the non-governmental, academic, public, private and government sectors , the 2010 forum sought to frame the first set of challenges to be addressed, set the scope of future GCI activities, and determine a structure for the 'Forum of Forums'.
